Three Bees Compete in 2026 Prospect League All-Star Game in 4-3 Eastern Conference Win
Lafayette, IN – 60 players were selected to participate in the second ever Prospect League All-Star Game, with 30 representing the Western Conference and 30 from the Eastern Conference at Loeb Stadium on July 7.
Riley Fuller (Evangel), Lucas Krebs (Illinois), and Jake Weissenberger (Mount Mercy) were the three Bees players selected to play for the West. Fuller retired the Eastern Conference all-stars in order in the bottom of the fifth inning and was in line for the win until the East took the lead in the seventh. Krebs was the starting second baseman for the West All-Stars and batted second in the lineup. He went 0/3 with a pair of putouts in the field. Weissenberger pitched out of a bases loaded jam to toss a scoreless bottom of the second inning. His final line was 1 inning pitched with one hit and no runs allowed in 22 pitches. The West held a 3-1 lead going into the seventh inning before the East struck for a three run inning to go ahead and they would hold on to win by a run.
The three Bees representatives along with the rest of the squad return to action on Thursday for a 5:00 pm doubleheader against the Normal CornBelters at the Corn Crib.
