Bees Release 2023 Promotional Schedule
BURLINGTON, IOWA, April 6, 2023 - The Burlington Bees are BUZZING with excitement with the release of the 2023 season promotional schedule of theme nights and giveaways! Highlights include new theme nights such as Napoleon Dino Night (a sweet mash-up of the cult classic Napoleon Dynamite and everyone's favorite...Dinosaurs/Jurassic Park), Buzz's Ranch Night (country themed), Once Upon A Time Night, Mystery Machine Night, Mascot Mania, Let's GLOW Crazy Night and HOWLween. We are throwing it back all the way to Ancient Greece for a BEElympics Toga Party, flashback to the early 2000's for Flashback Friday: All Out 2000's Night, pivoting back to the 90's on FRIENDS of Community Field Night and traveling back to the 1960's for Flashback Friday: It's GROOVY Baby. We are bringing back some fan favorites: School's Out Beach Blast, Pups & Pints Nights, Superhero Night, Christmas in July and Community Basket Day. The Bees will be recognizing several groups throughout the season including: Educators, Emergency Responders, Little League, Burlington Area YMCA, Military and Healthcare Heroes. The Bees will again be raising awareness for Mental Health organizations. Additionally, there will be 6 post-game J&M Displays fireworks shows lighting up the sky over Community Field throughout the summer.
The Bees have five giveaways and five jersey auctions scheduled throughout the season with proceeds benefiting several non-profits. United Rental is sponsoring a PACK THE PARK Night, where all general admission tickets will be free. Five Pups & Pints nights are scheduled this season where dogs and their owners can enjoy the game together. Community Basket Day is scheduled for Sunday, July 30th with several area non-profits selling raffle tickets in the next few months. One lucky winner will win $5,000, two will win $2,500 each and one additional winner will be drawn to win the community basket of prizes! Tickets will be $5 this year with $2.50 going to the local non-profit selling the tickets.
Community Field is the home field for the Southeastern Community College Blackhawk Baseball team. The concession stand will now be available for home games this spring starting Thursday, April 13th at 5 PM against Carl Sandburg. There is a $5 spectator fee at the gate.
The Burlington Bees official Prospect League season opens at home against the Quincy Gems on Wednesday, May 31st with fireworks after the game. The first 500 fans will receive a free 2023 Magnet Schedule. Gates will open at 5:30 PM and the first pitch of the 2023 season will take place at 6:30 PM. Single game tickets are on sale now and can be found online at www.GOBEES.com. The Bees will host several non-baseball events that will be announced at a later date.
